With the increase in cybersecurity threats, the White House is helping to find a solution for the serious need for cyber talent. Along with the federal government, they are forgoing the college degree requirements and moving to skills-based hiring for an entire series of technical employees. This means individuals who took part in training programs or apprenticeships have an opportunity to join the cyber workforce. Along with this new initiative, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director announced organizations, including Per Scholas, committing to help build the U.S. cybersecurity workforce.
